In ClassroomParent, a classroom is the same as a homeroom. Though you have flexibility to use classrooms as you like, typically each student is assigned to a single classroom and remains in the classroom for the year.

To add a classroom, do the following:

1. Click on Classrooms in the main menu to go to the classrooms page
2. Click the New Classroom button at the top right
3. Select a grade from the list of grades
4. Enter in a class code. This code should correspond to how your school would indicate a student is in a particular homeroom. It will be used to place students in homerooms in imports.
5. Enter a room number. This is supposed to be the physical room number of the homeroom/classroom. If your school doesn’t have or use physical room numbers, feel free to use any other designation you would like here

Click the Create button to add the classroom/homeroom
