How does the Promote Students step in the promote process work?
To use the Student Promote page, you should have already promoted or created classrooms/homerooms for the year to which you are promoting the students.
To make is easier to promote students in groups, you can select a particularly grade or classroom from the previous year. Once selected, you will be shown a list of those students, which classroom they are in for the year in which they are being promoted, and a selection field that allows to change/set the classroom for the year in which they are being promoted.
If there is a student that is not returning, do not select any classroom/homeroom. Their classroom/homeroom selection for the year will remain at “None”.
Once you have selected the classrooms for the group of displayed students, click the Promote Students button.
You may return to this page many times. You can use it to place students into classrooms, or move them to another classroom.
