It appears that several (many) of the students have been placed in an incorrect homeroom. How can I correct this?

If students are in the incorrect homerooms, there are a couple of ways to fix that, as long as you have a correct list of homeroom assignments for 2021-2022.

The easiest is likely to back into the Promote process and click Next until you get to the Promote - Students page.

Then select the grade from the list that you want to correct. Remember, you are selecting last year’s grade, so if you want to fix the 2nd graders for 2021-2022, you need to select the 1st grade from the drop down.

Once the students display, for each student you will see their current assignments, and a dropdown allowing you to select a different homeroom.

You only need to select a new homeroom for the ones that are in an incorrect homeroom. If they are in a correct homeroom, you can leave the homeroom assignment dropdown unselected.

Once you have selected all of the correct homerooms, click the “Promote selected Students to selected Class” button. This will move those students to their correct homeroom.

Then you can select another grade to work on.

If you find the issue is with students that were not in the school last year, then you will need to go to their current homeroom. When you hover your mouse over their name, you will see two icons. Clicking on the one with the two arrows pointed in opposite directions will allow you to move the student to a different homeroom.
