When I indicate I want some or all of my contact information hidden (i.e. my sharing settings are set to something other than Share All), who is still allowed to see it?
When sharing levels are set to something other than Share All, only a few types of users have permission to view the information that the user has chosen to hide. They are:
- The user viewing their own page
- Staff and Teachers at the school
- Site admins for the school
All other users do not have permission to view hidden information.
Keep in mind, however, if two parents have different sharing levels, the more open/lenient will be used when viewing a student's information. So if one parent hides their address and another parent of the same student shares their address, on the student's page, the address associated with the parent that shared the address will be displayed, even if that address is the same as that of the parent that hid theirs.
