What is the External Dues Payment Flow and how does one use it?
External Dues Payment Flow is a feature that allows parents to pay their annual Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO/PTA) dues through an external, publicly accessible page without needing to log into the system.
Parent organizations and schools can publish the public URL, perhaps on their own website or in other communications.
To start the process, parents visit the external dues payment page where they're prompted to enter their email address to identify themselves in the system.
On submitting their email address, the system verifies the parent's email, checks if they're eligible to pay dues, and if valid, redirects them to the dues payment page with a secure one-time link. The system implements reCAPTCHA verification to prevent automated submissions and validates that the email belongs to a parent in the current school year.
To use the system, parents must:
- Be registered in the system for the current school year
- Have not already paid their annual PTO/PTA dues
