How can I add a link to an image? For example, I want to take a screen shot of a youtube video, add that image to an email, then link the image to the video url.

This is a great use case for linking an image to a URL, because you can't embed a youtube video in an email. Even though the editor will allow you to do it, when the recipient receives the email, the video will not display/play.

Instead, as you have suggested, take a screen shot of a frame in the video (CNTRL-Shift-4/CMMD-Shift-4) from the youtube page. Then follow these instructions on how to add the image with a link back to the video:

  1. Start a new Message or edit an existing message.
  2. Add the image to the email. Click the  button, and upload the image you previously saved.
  3. Once the image is displayed in the email editor, click on the image, you will see an “Edit” button.
  4. Click the Edit button.
  5. In the form that displays, paste the link/url in the Link field.
  6. Save the form.

Now, when the image is clicked on, it will take the recipient to the link/url you saved.
