Meetings stay in sync with the schedule automatically. When you edit a schedule,
ClassroomParent compares the new pattern with the meetings that already exist and
adjusts them:
-
Changing the start date/time, the recurrence, or
the end date re-generates the upcoming meetings: meetings
are added for new future occurrences and removed
for future occurrences that no longer fall in the pattern.
-
Changing the duration updates the length of every meeting on that
schedule.
-
Changing a location updates the location shown on the schedule's
meetings going forward.
Two things are always protected:
-
Meetings in the past are left alone. A schedule change only adds or
removes meetings that are still in the future, so your history stays intact.
-
Meetings with attendance recorded are never deleted by a schedule
change, even if they no longer match the pattern. To remove one of these you have to
delete it by hand from the calendar after clearing its attendance.
If you no longer want any of a schedule's meetings, delete the schedule itself —
that removes its meetings too, subject to the same attendance protection.
